After your tour, join us for lunch at the new Café Ommegang. The café is conveniently located behind the brewery in the visitor center. Enjoy casual bar seating with a friend, traditional "old world" communal dining with the family and our scenic patio during the warmer months.
We serve all six of our year round award winning Belgian-styles ales with a rotating selection of Ommegang specials and limited editions. Our friendly staff will provide you with detailed information on any beer you try, including what menu items each beer pairs well with.
The café menu features Belgian themed food favorites such as frites, assorted aioli, stews, crepes, ice-cream, and waffles. For a special treat, try the official dish of Belgium; beer steamed mussels and fries, AKA: moules and frites! But don't forget dessert. You will want to taste our Three Philosophers infused ice cream.

HOW TO TAKE A TOUR WITH US
We love to show people our farmstead brewery but to make sure the quality of our tours match the quality of our beers we have a few guidelines for you to follow.
1. ARRIVE EARLY
A brewery is a busy place, and it's especially busy here during the summer. To ensure the safety of our fans, public tours are limited to 20 people. No children under the age of 5 are allowed on the tour. Tour and tasting times are subject to change based on volume of participants. The tours fill up extremely quickly, so it's best to show up early.
2. CHECK IN
To ensure your spot on a tour, you can get a tour pass at the Store Host Stand. You will find the host stand at the entrance to the café. We begin releasing passes when the store/café opens. Each tour is on a first come, first served basis, and people must be physically present to receive a tour pass. Sorry, but we do not accept phone or email.
3. BE ON TIME
Tours promptly depart from the Brewery Shop and for reasons of quality and safety, latecomers are not admitted. If you plan to visit the Cafe first, be sure to give yourself plenty of time. Beverages are not allowed on the tour.
Following our tours we offer a tasting of 6 different Ommegang beers for $5.00 and a complimentary tasting glass. Be sure to pick up both a tasting pass and a tour pass if you would like to do both.
1. ARRIVE EARLY
We limit our tastings to 25 people. Tours and tastings fill up fast so come early and check in ASAP to secure your spot.
2. CHECK IN
Guests can obtain a tasting pass from the Café Host Stand when they arrive at the Visitors Center. Remember that if you would like to do both the tour and the tasting you will need to ask for both passes. The cost of a tasting pass is $5.00 and comes with a complimentary glass to try at least 6 different Brewery Ommegang beers. Each tasting is on a first come, first serve basis, and people must be present to receive a tasting pass.
3. BE ON TIME
Tastings will begin as soon as the room is vacated and cleaned up from the prior tasting group. Each tasting has approximately 30 minutes to try all the beers offered on that day, so being on time will ensure that you do not miss any of the beers.
Most people know Cooperstown as the home of America's pastime, but our city's history of fine drink dates back even further. Once the hops-growing capital of North America, Cooperstown now boasts breweries, wineries, and an historic cider mill that all carry on its long tradition of crafting world-class beverages.
Six of these establishments now comprise the Cooperstown Beverage Trail, New York State's first official cuisine trail: Bear Pond Winery, Cooperstown Brewing Company, Brewery Ommegang, the Fly Creek Cider Mill, Rustic Ridge Winery and Butternuts Beer and Ale. Each of these locations provides visitors with the opportunity to enjoy tastings, get a close-up look at how the beverages are made, or wander around our specialty shops. Last year alone, the trail received more than 20,000 visitors.
We are grateful for the support we've received from the New York State Department of Agriculture & Markets, the Otsego County Tourism Program and the Cooperstown Chamber of Commerce. We hope you'll make the most of your visit by exploring all that our beautiful region has to offer.
