REGIONAL MARKET MANAGER – Nebraska/Iowa

Duvel Moortgat USA is internationally recognized as a leader in the high-end luxury beer segment.  We are currently seeking a Regional Market Manager to oversee the Nebraska/Iowa territory.  The preferred candidate will live in, or be willing to relocate to Des Moines.  Competitive salary, bonus, car allowance, medical/dental, 401k, and other benefits available.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute national sales strategy through effective leadership and management of direct reports.
  • Execute short and long-term, divisional business priorities and identify issues/opportunities across all trade channels.
  • Deliver division shipments, depletion, contribution, and distribution/RoS objectives.
  • Manage divisional spend-to-budget and deliver ROI objectives.
  • Manage and develop customer relationships, ensuring focus and execution against company objectives and provide appropriate feedback and direction based on performance.
  • Develop and execute divisional sales and marketing programming ensuring consistency with company objectives.
  • Deliver execution of strategic brand plans, price positioning, consumer marketing programs, and new product launches.
  • Develop and execute strategic alignment of wholesaler network.
  • Develop effective working relationship with senior distributor management teams driving strategic initiatives “top down”.
  • Manage, coach, and develop direct reports.
  • Manage brand projects, brand budgeting; prepare and present branded presentations to external audiences.
  • Analyze performance to address variances and ensure that corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner.
  • Forecast future shipment and depletions trends.
  • Provide management with market intelligence including sales trends, product developments and competitor activity, and recommend strategies to address these trends.
  • Observe all state and federal laws pertaining to the sale, merchandising, and promotion of malt beverages.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 10 years of sales experience, including team management, managing distributors and retail, managing chain account activities
  • Experience in managing luxury brands or high-end craft and specialty wine, beer, or spirits brands
  • Strong alignment to company culture and values
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently and with limited direction
  • Results oriented and determined in the face of a challenge
  • Ability to manage a team and influence customers to accomplish goals
  • Ability to collaborate and work well with management, peers, and across functions
  • Ability to think strategically and translate ideas into practical execution
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to speak in front of large groups
  • Ability to develop and interpret spend, performance, and financial reports
  • Track record of success in commercial or sales positions managing a team of people and large customers
  • Willingness to travel for up to a week away from home, work out of normal hours, and a good driving record
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and Power Point

FRONT HOUSE SUPERVISOR

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Training and supervision of all service staff; ensure all company and Tips policies are being followed
  • Daily restaurant accounting and balancing of registers; assists with maintenance of Aloha
  • Assists Café Manager with updating menu items and POS database
  • Supervise and ensure high service/hygiene standard
  • Expedites food production and services throughout the day
  • Responds to and works to resolve customer service issues
  • Inspection of work areas and services areas
  • Back up bar staff as needed
  • Maintain appropriate inventory of beer and other beverages, as well as barware and glassware
  • Assist with and maintain staff scheduling, including schedule changes
  • Maintain good vendor relations
  • Regular maintenance of beer lines
  • Regular monitoring quality of the beers
  • Inventory of all FOH supplies for Chef/Café Manager to order
  • Assist w execution of vendor booth

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Must possess leadership qualities
  • An eye for detail
  • Ability to continuously lift 50 lbs
  • Good oral communication skills with customer and co-workers
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule when necessary including holidays, weekends and company events
  • Work with integrity, enthusiasm and possess good work ethics

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

  • Experience and/or education in restaurant management preferred
  • Cicerone- Certified Beer Server certification preferred
