MARKET MANAGER – Carolinas

Duvel Moortgat USA is internationally recognized as a leader in the high-end luxury beer segment.   We are currently seeking a Market Manager to manage our North and South Carolina territory.  This position will manage and direct sales and merchandising activities of the assigned distributors.  Ideal candidate will reside in Raleigh or Durham. Competitive salary, bonus, car allowance, medical/dental, 401k, and other benefits are available.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate activities of wholesalers within assigned area of responsibility, ensuring the implementation of all sales and marketing programs for the entire portfolio.
  • Motivate distributor management and sales force in order to achieve sales objectives, including the development and oversight of wholesaler incentive programming.
  • Focus on selling products and/or upgrading number of product lines in retail accounts (bars/restaurants, liquor/grocery stores).
  • Identify core accounts that are not being penetrated with Duvel USA products and develop a plan to establish business with such accounts.
  • Collect data on distributor pricing, distribution, volume and general market information.
  • Compile and submit reports required for the sales division.
  • Operate effectively within corporate and budgetary guidelines.
  • Conduct staff educations, beer tastings and beer dinners (note: evenings/weekends).
  • Ensure proper merchandizing of on- and off-premise accounts
  • Be responsible for the allocation and use of all point-of-sale materials.
  • Develop and maintain close relationships with key accounts both on and off-premise.
  • Work with local distributors to increase brand awareness and consumption.
  • Track and monitor progress in all identified accounts.
  • Train, schedule and manage sampling teams.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Three to Five years malt beverage experience, preferably with at least one year at a wine or beer distributor.
  • Ability to interface with various levels of management, at wholesale as well as retail.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work with limited amount of direction; ability to work both independently and within a team to accomplish goals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to speak in front of large groups, conduct staff trainings and evening functions.
  • Strong work ethic; demonstrated ability to plan and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • An intense competitive spirit with an assertive, confident personality.
  • Strong sense of urgency and commitment to achieving results.
  • Strong judgment and professional maturity.
  • Excellent problem solving skills; mathematical proficiency.
  • Willingness to travel overnight and a good driving record.

REGIONAL MARKET MANAGER – Kansas City

Duvel Moortgat USA is internationally recognized as a leader in the high-end luxury beer segment.  We are currently seeking a Regional Market Manager to oversee the Greater Kansas City area.  Competitive salary, bonus, car allowance, medical/dental, 401k, and other benefits available.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute sales strategy through effective leadership and management of direct reports.
  • Develop short and long term business priorities and identify issues/opportunities across all trade channels.
  • Deliver shipments, depletion, contribution and distribution/RoS objectives.
  • Manage spend to budget and deliver ROI objectives.
  • Manage and develop customer relationships, ensuring focus and execution against company objectives and provide appropriate feedback and direction based on performance.
  • Develop and execute sales and marketing programming ensuring consistency with company objectives.
  • Deliver execution of strategic brand plans, price positioning, consumer marketing programs and new product launches.
  • Develop and execute strategic alignment of wholesaler network
  • Develop  effective working relationship with senior distributor management teams driving strategic initiatives “top down”
  • Manage, coach, and develop direct reports.
  • Manage brand projects, brand budgeting; prepare and present branded presentations to external audiences.
  • Analyze performance to address variances and ensure that corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner.
  • Forecast future shipment and depletions trends.
  • Provide management with market intelligence including sales trends, product developments and competitor activity, and recommend strategies to address these trends.
  • Observe all state and federal laws pertaining to the sale, merchandising and promotion of malt beverages. 

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • At least 10 years of sales experience, including team management, managing distributors and retail, managing chain account activities.
  • Experience in managing luxury brands or high-end craft and specialty wine, beer or spirits brands
  • Strong alignment to company culture and values
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently and with limited direction
  • Results oriented and determined in the face of a challenge
  • Ability to manage a team and influence customers to accomplish goals.
  • Ability to collaborate and work well with management, peers and across functions.

CHAIN ACCOUNTS MANAGER - WEST

Brewery Ommegang-Duvel Moortgat USA is currently seeking a Chain Accounts Manager for the Western Division.  TThis position will manage and direct sales and merchandising activities of the assigned chain accounts.   • Develop and maintain collaborative long-term relationships with chain accounts both on and off-premise
  • Deliver Duvel USA chain account volume, revenue and distribution sales goals
  • Conduct analysis and develop presentations that increase Company feature and display activity, expands distribution and optimizes shelf position that increase volume and market share
