Graphic Designer

The Graphic Designer works with the Creative Director and Marketing team to cultivate the Ommegang brand and ethos, and apply brand standards to all design work. This position is located in Cooperstown, NY. 
 
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support creative development for all POS and packaging
  • Lead creative development for social media usage
  • Support creative development for and manage Ommegang website
  • Provide creative support for retail
  • Participate in local event support as needed
 
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, emphasis in graphic design preferred
  • Three to five years in graphic design
  • Experience at overseeing printing and press runs
  • Understanding of design, marketing and media planning and budgeting
  • Solid knowledge of design principles and technical proficiency in design software
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat and other design programs; also in Excel, MS Word, database programs, art file management, archiving
  • Proficiency in all social media use, including websites, Instagram, and others
  • Basic camera and photography skills preferred, both studio and non-studio, for all creative applications
  • 3+ years’ experience in the beer or other alcoholic beverage industry preferred
  • Basic film shooting and editing skills preferred, primarily for social media imagery
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team to accomplish goals
  • Strong work ethic; demonstrated ability to plan and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Strong judgment and professional maturity
  • Strong ability in writing and editing written language
  • Professional interest in craft beer culture

Brand Ambassador - Long Island NY

We are seeking outgoing, enthusiastic individuals to conduct samplings, work at beer festivals and staff other various events/promotions for the Duvel Moortgat family of breweries (Duvel, Liefmans, Maredsous, Brasserie d’Achouffe, Brewery Ommegang, and Boulevard Brewing Company).

Employment will be part time, and all events will take place on Long Island.

As a Brand Ambassador for Duvel USA, you will be stewards of the breweries, engaging with customers and teaching them about our beer and brands. We offer competitive pay and a flexible work environment.

Sales Representative - San Francisco

Duvel Moortgat USA is internationally recognized as a leader in the high-end beer segment.  We are currently seeking a  Sales Representative covering the San Francisco metro market.   We offer a competitive salary and benefits package including medical/dental/vision, 401k, etc.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure the implementation of all sales and marketing programs for the entire portfolio
  • Motivate distributor sales force to achieve sales objectives
  • Focus on selling products and/or upgrading number of product lines across distribution channels
  • Identify accounts that are not being penetrated with Duvel USA products and develop a plan to establish business with such accounts
  • Conduct wait-staff / bartender educations, beer tastings and beer dinners
  • Ensure proper merchandising of on- and off-premise accounts
  • Plan and execute on-premise promotions as permitted (note: evenings; weekend festivals)
  • Develop and maintain close relationships with key accounts both on and off-premise.
  • Work with local distributors to increase brand awareness and consumption
  • Be responsible for the allocation and use of point-of-sale materials
  • Collect data (e.g. pricing, distribution) as required
  • Compile and submit reports required for the sales division
  • Operate effectively within corporate and budgetary guidelines
  • Track and monitor progress in all identified accounts
  • Observe all state and federal laws pertaining to the sale, merchandising and promotion of malt beverages
 
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • One to two years malt beverage experience, preferably with at least one year at a wine or beer distributor
  • Ability to interface with various levels of management, at wholesale as well as retail
  • Self-motivation and ability to work with limited amount of direction; ability to work both independently and within a team to accomplish goals
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to speak in front of large groups, conduct trainings/promotions

Cafe Manager

  • Ensure an exceptional experience for all guests of the Ommegang café
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to develop simple but memorable menus, expertly prepared, with quality, presentation and service second to none
  • Hire and maintain team members dedicated to excellence
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive staff training program; work with front- and back-of-house leads to provide clear and consistent direction; ensure that team members possess and display a superior knowledge of beer, food and proper service
  • Manage schedules to maintain appropriate staffing levels at all times; review and approve payroll
  • Carefully manage all costs to achieve and maintain targeted financial results
  • Maintain current, accurate POS database
  • Order and maintain appropriate inventories of food, beer, beverages, glassware, barware and supplies
  • Ensure that the café is immaculate and well-organized at all times
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained; oversee cleaning and maintenance of beer lines
  • Oversee content, design and production of menus
  • Balance registers and report results to Finance
  • Liaise closely with marketing team to ensure timely café marketing, advertising and promotional activities
  • Lead regular meetings to communicate company and department information to employees
