When autumn colors hit their peak, it's time to celebrate the brewery's birthday. This year we will be turning lucky 13! Join us once again for our annual Waffles and Puppets Festivalon October 2nd from noon until 5pm.

In 1997 Brewery Ommegang introduced its first Belgian-style beer to America: Ommegang Abey Dubbel. Thirteen years later, the same Abbey won a Gold Medal in the 2010 World Beer Cup, and Ommegang is producing numerous year-round and seasonal brews today.

Come celebrate the anniversary of Brewery Ommegang's opening on October 2, 2010. The fun starts at noon and we will be pouring many members of the Ommegang family of beers, including: Witte, Rare Vos, Hennepin, BPA, Three Philosophers and Ommegang Abbey.

This is a great event to bring the entire family to. Entertainment includes a puppet show presented by The Puppet People, performing 2 shows. Live music to be announced, and numerous other seasonal-appropriate amusements such as apple bobbing and pumpkin painting. Naturally the brewery shop will be open for tours and shopping all day long.

Food will be available from the famous Quartermoon Cafe from Delhi, NY. Chef Jonah Shaw is sure to impress with a variety of dishes, many prepared with Ommegang beers. And let us not forget the irresistable, decadent authenti Belgian waffles from The Waffle Haus. Once you catch the scent of these, let alone a taste, there's no turning back. Heck, they can even drizzle Belgian chocolate on one for you!

There is no admission fee to this event, though food and beer are vended separately.
