2014 Summer Concert Series

We can’t believe our 2014 Summer Concert Series begins in just a couple days! And with back-to-back SOLD OUT shows! If you are a veteran Ommegang concert-goer, we appreciate all the tips you’ve offered first timers on the event pages. If you have never attended a show at Ommegang before, the notes below will answer your questions.

Brewery Ommegang Concert Policies

No outside food or beverage is allowed in the concert area. These items are allowed in the camping area. Absolutely no outside alcohol is allowed in any area. There are food and beverage vendors on site. Cold and delicious Ommegang beer will be available for purchase during the show. And there will be non-alcoholic beverage options for sale too.

No alcohol may be consumed by persons less than 21 years of age. Our staff reserves the right to cut off alcohol service to any individual that appears to be intoxicated. Non-adherence will result in removal from event grounds.

Re-entry to the Ommegang concert area is only allowed until the music begins. The exception will be for attendees with camping passes.

No pets allowed except certified assistance animals. Paperwork may be required.

No weapons, explosives, or illicit substances of any kind are permitted on Brewery Ommegang property.

Please respect our property and staff. Anyone caught damaging property or buildings, or being abusive to any of our concert staff will be removed from the property. No exceptions.

Personal cameras are allowed in the venue. Flash photography, video, audio recording and removable lens cameras are not permitted without prior approval from tour management. Drone/aerial photography is not allowed. Contact allison@ommegang.com with media inquiries.

Only vendors licensed with Brewery Ommegang and with New York State are allowed to vend at Ommegang events. No exceptions.

Brewery Ommegang is an outdoor venue and the show goes on rain or shine. Please plan for the weather. Lawn chairs, blankets and cushions are allowed.

Box Office Policies

The box office will open one hour prior to advertised doors and stay open until the headlining band takes the stage.

Will call patrons will need to show photo ID to collect their tickets.

Camping area has its own entrance and box office. If you have camping will call tickets, you will find them at the camping box office.

Camping Policies

No Open Flames (i.e. no charcoal or propane grills, no campfires) allowed anywhere on Brewery Ommegang property or satellite parking lots.

Brewery Ommegang offers rustic camping (tents only) – no RVs or camping trailers are allowed. No vehicles are allowed in the camping area. Camping is only allowed in the designated camping area.

Potable water and port-a-potties are located near the camping area.

All campers will need to vacate the event camping area by 12pm the following day. Any campers with overnight tickets for multiple nights may keep their camping areas set up but will need to vacate the area from 12pm until doors open the next day to allow the staff time to clean the grounds and prepare for our next group of campers.

Campers are encouraged to arrive early to avoid having to park in the satellite parking lot.

Parking

Parking is available in the field next to the brewery grounds and there will be signs and volunteers to direct you there. CARPOOLING IS ENCOURAGED!

Overflow parking is available at Wood Bull Antiques (3920 County Highway 28, Milford, NY 13807) and we’ll have shuttle buses to bring visitors from the satellite lot to the brewery and back again after the show. The shuttle will begin at 5PM and end at 7PM when the main act takes the stage. Return buses begin at 11PM.

Handicap parking is available in the parking field on either side of the check in tent.

Safety

Plan to get home safely. Taxi services are available but remember that this is a rural community so service is limited. Don’t drink and drive.

Medical personnel will be on site for emergencies. If you require assistance at any time, please contact one of our concert, security or medical personnel. They are there to assist you.

Yes, hula hoops are allowed but please be kind to your fellow concert-goers and hoop away from the crowds.

Please let us know if you have a question that we haven’t answered! We strive to make every concert and event at Ommegang a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees, performers, and our staff. We appreciate your adherence to our policies.

I think it’s inconsiderate you can’t either accommodate all campers in the closer parking lot, or offer a shuttle in the morning as well for those that had to park in the satellite lot. You put the blame and responsibility on campers if they end up in the satellite lot, however you did not originally specify that campers should arrive any earlier than 5 pm.

Nothing in your post there about possibly stranding your campers 5 miles away from their vehicles the next morning! Thanks to this lack of consideration, some campers may be quite upset and nervous about the parking situation… I know I am!

DT, there will be adequate parking at the brewery for guests that are camping.

Ok, Ommegang, some of the postings sure had me worried! Like this one up on Dan Smalls Presents:
“Parking on site can handle 85% of the crowd. The remaining 15% will park at a satellite lot about 5 miles away.” “IF YOU HAVE PURCHASED CAMPING TICKETS WE STRONGLY ADVISE YOU TO ARRIVE BETWEEN 3 and 3:30PM AS WE WILL BE OPENING THE PARKING CLOSEST TO THE CAMPGROUND ONLY TO CAMPERS AT THIS TIME. THE CAMPGROUND WILL OPEN AT 4PM. IF YOU ARRIVE LATE AS A CAMPER YOU CAN USE THE SATELLITE LOT BUT WE CANNOT PROVIDE YOU WITH TRANSPORTATION BACK THERE IN THE AM. SO DO COME EARLY IF YOU HAVE CAMPING PASSES. The remaining on site parking will open at 4PM.”

I’ll be there at 4 pm to camp, and I sure am counting on parking!
Thank you for addressing my concerns :)

The parking lot opens at 3 for campers and the camping area will open at 4. The concert area is closed until 5.
