Miami’s beer-forward HopChef competitors and their beer pairings are:Miami HopChef competitors took part in a “Draught Draft” on Tuesday, April 8 at the Biltmore Hotel’s 19th Hole. Following a guided tasting by our Miami Market Manager Jessica Suarez, each chef randomly selected a style of beer that will then be used to pair with their culinary creations during the HopChef competition at the Biltmore Hotel on April 28.

Participating chefs are now starting to develop their dishes and pairing strategies. Miami foodies and beer-enthusiasts have a chance to try the Ommegang beers at participating chefs’ restaurants leading up to the competition. Stay tuned for more opportunities to get in on the local HopChef action!

For the second consecutive year, Brewery Ommegang is bringing its acclaimed HopChef competition to the Cyclorama at the Boston Center for the Arts on May 21st. Leading local chefs will face off in a beer and food pairing culinary competition using Ommegang’s Belgian style ales to compete for the title of Boston’s HopChef 2014. This year’s line-up of competing chefs includes:
Each chef will create one dish showcasing their imaginative beer and food pairing skills to be judged by a panel of esteemed beer and food-industry professionals. HopChef is Brewery Ommegang’s nationally acclaimed chef competition, nurturing the community of beer and food lovers that sits beer at the head of the table. A collection of hand-selected chefs from the hottest local restaurants are challenged to showcase their imaginative pairing skills using Brewery Ommegang’s Belgian-style ales to create a signature pairing dish. Ales are sipped, plates are cleaned and judges deliberate as HopChef creates a fun and approachable event for a community of beer lovers and foodies alike.
Brewery Ommegang kicks off an expanded tour in 2014, offering local chefs, restaurants, retailers, and consumers in eight cities throughout the country a unique opportunity to join together in celebration of the art of pairing (and enjoying) fine food and crafted beer.

Seven of Chicago’s hottest chefs will compete for culinary honors at Brewery Ommegang and SAVEUR Magazine’s HopChef Chicago culinary competition. Cleetus Friedman of Fountainhead,Cosmo Goss of Publican Quality Meats, Tim Cottini of Fork, Jacob Saben of Graham Elliot Bistro, Alex Ageneau of Paris Club, Craig Fass of The Bad Apple and Rick Gresh of David Burke’s Primehouse will battle for the title of HopChef Chicago July 1 at 7:00 pm at Paris Club.
