We are LOVING the warm weather here in Upstate New York and the visitors that come with it!
We’re happy to see so many new faces and returning friends at the brewery this summer. We expect to welcome nearly 65,000 visitors this year between our concert-goers, attendees for BCTC and our other events, and those stopping in for a flight, a bite, a tour, or a tasting. We enjoy meeting new friends from across the globe, and sharing our story and our beer with everyone who makes the journey to Ommegang.
Are you coming to see us this summer? Here’s some updated information about visiting Ommegang.
We are open daily from 11 am to 6 pm for tours, tastings, cafe service, and for shopping in the brewery store. We are closed for BCTC (August 8-9), concerts (August 1, August 3, September 6) and occasionally for other special events. Closings are posted on Facebook and they are also on our phone message when you call 607-544-1800.
At the brewery, we run tours on the hour and tastings on the half hour. Tours are FREE and tastings are $3 per person and include a souvenir tasting glass. You must be at least 5 years old to take the tour and 21 years old to participate in a tasting. Tours and tastings fill up fast so we recommend getting to the brewery early.
This summer, we have some new safety regulations in place for our tours.
No bare shoulders.
No open toe shoes.
No items in shirt pockets.
No dangly jewelry.
Coming to see us but only have a tank top? Do you only wear sandals in the summer? Not a problem! We have clean, short-sleeve work shirts, stylish CROCS, and disposable socks that we’re happy to lend to you for the tour.
These clothing requirements are for the safety of our guests, our staff, our brewery, and our beer. We appreciate your adherence to these policies.
If you’re swinging through Cooperstown but don’t have time to visit the brewery, stop by our pop-up store at 134 Main Street. The Ommegang Prohibition Store is an “all gear, no beer” location where you can stock up on apparel, barware, books, local and specialty food items, and Ommegang glassware. The store staff can also tell you where to grab a glass of Ommegang on draft or pick up a four-pack while you’re in town.
In town for the day? Catch the trolley from Doubleday Field Trolley Stop (directly across from the Prohibition Store) and take a ride out to the brewery. Pick up times are 11 am, 2 pm, and 5 pm and the drop off times are 2 pm, 5 pm, and 7 pm on the days when the trolley is running. Day-passes are $2 per person and available for purchase on the trolley.
