When autumn colors hit their peak, it’s time to celebrate the brewery’s birthday. Join us once again for our annual Waffles and Puppets celebration of October 10th from noon until 5pm.

In 1997, Brewery Ommegang opened with one fine Belgian-style ale: Ommegang Abbey Dubbel. Twelve years and many new beers later, we’re throwing a big party to celebrate our birthday.

This is a great event to bring the whole family to. Entertainment provided in the form of a 1 hr puppet show performed by Robert Rogers Puppet Co. (www.robertrogerspuppets.com) played throughout the day, interspersed with live music from one of our (and your !) favorite local bands (TBD). There are plenty of other seasonal-related kids' activities as well, such as apple-bobbing and pumpkin painting, open all day long.

Food available from the legendary Brooks' BBQ from Oneonta, NY!!!

And don't forget the authentic Leige-style Belgian Sugar Waffles. If you've never had one...let's just say you're missing one of life's great indulgent pleasures. You can even have one drizzled with Belgian chocolate sauce. No, we're not kidding.

But perhaps most exciting about this day is the official Brewery Store release of Ommegang Adoration, our brand new Special Winter Ale. A dark ale in the tradition on Belgian Noels, Adoration is a substantially warming beer at 10% abv, brewed with an array of exotic spices. We feel it is certainly worthy of Adoration. Come decide for yourself, but this is a highly limited release, so it is best to come early!

There is no admission fee to attend this event, though food and beer are vended separately.
