The return of the Friday evening event: a 5-course VIP beer dinner. Food paired with complimentary hard-to-get Belgian beers that we’ll supply. We’ll also have live music, and a late night bonfire, and as few speeches as possible. ONLY THE 200 VIP TICKETS INCLUDE FRIDAY NIGHT CAMPING.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 2nd. Tasting 2-6pm
600 BEER-TASTING TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE FOR SATURDAY ADMISSION ONLY, BY ADVANCE ONLINE PURCHASE. PURCHASE TICKETS AT WWW.OMMEGANG.COM AND THEN CLICK ON THE STORE LINK.
We’ll open at 9AM on Saturday for BEER-TASTING ticket holders to come in, and if you purchased camping tickets, to choose a spot. The brewery will be closed all day to non-ticket holders. Red Lion Catering will be providing a variety of delicious entrees for sale. We will also have Authentic Belgian Waffles for sale.

SUNDAY, JULY 22
Stay as long as you like. Showers and wash-stations will operate until all leave. The brewery store and tours will start early (10am) for those who want a last minute tour, or to have a hair-of-the-dog tasting, or purchase beer and other goodies to go.

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY VIP TICKET for $160 INCLUDES:
Friday evening features a multi-course VIP beer dinner, from 7-10 pm, with many choices of hot and cold foods, paired with beers provided by Brewery Ommegang and Duvel USA. We will also be presenting a surprise specialty brew paired up with Ommegang cheeses, and hard-to-get Belgian imports that we’re bringing in just for this event. There will also be live music.

VIP's get a free Chouffe hat and free 25.4 oz. bottle of our limited Edition Aged Ommegang Chocolate Indulgence at admissions.

VIPs get their own brewery tours on Friday afternoon and evening. The brewery will be closed to regular tourism Friday after 2 pm, and all day Saturday.

VIPs get camping for the weekend: Friday and Saturday nights. Camping is the way to go, requiring no driving or expensive hotel rooms. Camping includes a campsite, some fire-pits, a late-night bonfire, warm showers, and wash-up stations. VIP campers also get first choice of campsites.

VIPs get to dine with the beer writers, importers and brewers, as well as Ommegang staff, on Friday night at the VIP beer dinner.

SATURDAY TASTING TICKET FOR $70 INCLUDES:
Brewery opening at 9 am, for tasting ticket holders who want to arrive early.

Free brewery tours and tastings start at 11am on Saturday and run until 7 pm. The brewery will be closed to regular tourism all day Saturday. The store will be fully stocked with beer, glassware, wearables, Belgian chocolates, cheeses and other edibles, plus Ommegang and Duvel merchandise.

The single 2pm-6 pm session tasting includes over 150 Belgian and Belgian-style beers, a tasting glass, and live music from 4pm to 11 pm. There will be plenty of food for sale including Belgian waffles, a pig roast, seafood kebabs, sandwiches, Belgian stew, and plenty of other taste treats, many made with Ommegang beers.

Camping not included. If you buy a BEER TASTING TICKET for Saturday, you will also need to purchase a camping ticket online if you plan to camp.

SATURDAY CAMPING TICKET FOR $30 INCLUDES:
Car parking, designated camp sites, scattered fire pits, the midnight bonfire, showers and wash stations. Plus the stars overhead, and the green earth below.

SATURDAY DESIGNATED DRIVER (and 12 years-21 years old) NON-DRINKING TICKET for $30 INCLUDES:
Access to the brewery grounds, free brewery tours, plenty of non-alcoholic drinks, live music, entertainment, food purchases, and the opportunity to watch your friends maybe make silly fools of themselves. That alone is priceless.

CHILDREN UNDER 12 ARE FREE.
Experience has proven that it’s very hard to guarantee a quiet family camping area, but we’ll do our best. There will plenty of non-alcoholic drinks, and food for kids, including the ever-popular Belgian waffles.



FAQs BCTC 2008

WHAT HAPPENS TO SOMEONE WHO DRIVE IN FROM HOURS AWAY AND DOESN”T HAVE A TICKET, OR WHAT IF EVERYONE IN THE CAR DOESN’T HAVE A TICKET?
We’re closing the brewery completely to the public from Friday noon until Sunday noon. Anybody without a reserved advance-paid ticket will not be allowed on the brewery grounds. Cars whose occupants do not all have tickets will be turned away. Sorry, but it’s the only fair thing to do for those who buy in advance as required.

WHY MUST TICKETS BE PURCHASED IN ADVANCE ONLINE?
So we can cap ticket sales when we get the maximum attendees. So we can make sure we have enough beer, food and camping spaces, by knowing the exact number coming.

IF I BUY A VIP TICKET, DO I STILL NEED TO BUY A CAMPING AND TASTING TICKET?
No, the VIP ticket includes the Friday dinner, two nights camping, and the Saturday tasting.

IF I HAVE A SATURDAY TASTING TICKET, CAN I STILL CAMP FRIDAY NIGHT?
Sorry, but no.

WHAT KIND OF FOOD WILL YOU HAVE?
A pig roast, BBQ Chicken Halves, Belgian stew, seafood kebabs, fried veggies, French fries, Belgian waffles, veggie sandwiches and more. Prices will range from $4 to $12 an item

DO YOU NEED VOLUNTEERS?
Yes. Call 607-544-1800 and ask for John or Tara and we’ll sign you up. You can also email john@ommegang.com. And thanks for volunteering. Volunteers get a full case of Ommegang 750 ml beers for a 4 hr shift. Plus free entry to the tasting on Saturday and camping. We’ll need volunteers Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Early sign-ups get the best slots, allowing time to hit the beer tasting for a while.

ENTERTAINMENT: WHO’S PLAYING THE MUSIC?
We will have Down the Road, a old timey blue grass band from upstate New York during the VIP dinner on Friday night.

Saturday music includes: Newspaper Joe and the Mutineers, from upstate New York; Headcase, from upstate New York: Mecca Bodega, a driving percussion band from New York City and a third band, still being confirmed. Bring you own acoustic and percussion instruments and jam under the stars. Other entertainment TBA.

WHAT ABOUT BRINGING KIDS AND PETS?
We’ve had plenty of kids here, and they are always welcome and usually have a good time. But we have no daycare, sorry. Pets on leashes are fine. Please pick up after your pets.

CAMPING: HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN USE ONE CAMPSITE? DOES EACH PAY $30?
No, each person does not pay $30. Two tents to a campsite for $30, and how cozy you get is up to you.

CAN WE BUILD OUR OWN BONFIRE?
No, no, a thousand times no. We’ll have a huge communal bonfire, and scattered small fire pits. Our insurance guy says NO WAY to personal fires. Please join us in the communal fire. Security will be enforcing no fires unless in a fire ring that we provide.

HOW ABOUT RVs AND CAMPERS?
You’re welcome, but we have no power or water hook-ups, nor a dump station. You’ll need to be self-sustaining while here. Easy on the late night generator noise too, please.

CAN WE COOK OUT AT OUR CAMPSITES?
Yes. But we’ll be out and about, and put out unattended cooking implements. The only open fire cooking will be over the randomly situated fire pits we provide.
