Camping, food, music, fun during the Clinton Canoe Regatta, May 22-25, 2008 at Brewery Ommegang.
The brewery is open to visitors for the entirety of the regatta weekend from 11pm until 6 every day for tours and tastings, and you can purchase a camping pass at any time at the brewery for $15 a night/per site, or $45 for the entire weekend (t,f,s,s). We consider a camping pass to cover 2 tents, a car and a tent, or an RV, camper, or pop-up.
On Saturday we will be having beer sales in the festival tent from 12 pm until 9 pm, and food for sale from 6 pm until 9 pm.
For the Saturday night Blues Party we will host the following acts:
1-2:45 pm - Newspaper Joe- Solo acoustic, barring the unforseen. A local favorite. Gutsy, bona fide songwriting, singing from the heart, and guitar picking like they used to do.
3-6pm Blues Manuever- Get up and dance! All your favorites, soaring harmonies, and a sweet brass section!
6-8 pm- Jeremy Wallace Tio- Up again from Hoboken, NJ, Wallace brings his whiskey and Marlboro voice, vintage guitar, dead-on interpretations of classic blues, and his own tales to make your head spin and gut bust, plus a stalwart backing band. Featuring songs from his forthcoming album "Suicide Suitcase". Don't miss this.
8:15-11- Folding Sky- Road tested and a veritable regional All-Star band. "Blues for the new century...songs that touch the sky while staying rooted in the ground." As the moon rises over the festival grounds, these fellas will close out the night in memorable fashion, as usual.
Join us for the fun and see what the ‘buzz’ is all about!
Brewery Ommegang, four miles south of Cooperstown in the Susquehanna River Valley on Highway 33, is opening our 136 wooded acres for camping, entertainment, and paddling support -- a.k.a. food, beer, music -- during the Clinton Regatta. We're just a few miles downstream from the mouth of the Susquehanna, and the river actually crosses the lower part of our property.
We've got lots of room, great beer, a friendly attitude, and are always welcoming of visitors and campers (during the events), including free brewery tours and tastings every day.
