This innovative foray into the flavors of fall is part of a groundbreaking collaboration with Harney & Sons, New York-based blenders of fine teas since 1983. Beginning with fresh-pressed culinary varietals including McIntosh, Gala, Red Delicious and Pazazz, we ferment with our Belgian house yeast before adding a specially-formulated chai tea. Clarified and carbonated, the result is sparkling and refreshing, brimming with intense seasonal flavor.
Chai Cider pours a pale gold with fine carbonation and a delicate head. Sweet and spicy aromas of chai tea burst from the glass. Flavors of cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove accompany a lively, pleasant tartness. A touch of lactose imparts a sublimely smooth texture and reveals the richness of the spices. Medium-bodied yet notably dry, the cider finishes long and slow, reminiscent of
a chai latte.
