Hello, friends.
We couldn't be more excited to share details about a brand new beer that's arriving just in time for your holiday celebrations, Ommegang Brut IPA. Read on for details and a list of states where Ommegang Brut IPA will be sold.
Brut IPA: A Different Breed of Bubbly
COOPERSTOWN, NY With the holiday season approaching, Brewery Ommegang today announced the launch of a remarkable new beer that perfectly marries the fragrant, hoppy flavors of American IPAs with the sparkling effervescence of fine Belgian ales: Ommegang Brut IPA. Brewed with a unique process and bottle conditioned, this bubbly brew – with just 140 calories and fewer than four grams of carbohydrates – will liven up celebrations of the New Year, and beyond.
“With Brut IPA, we’ve created a distinctively Ommegang expression of this hop-driven style, using high attenuation and bottle conditioning to achieve a bright, dry, champagne-like character,” remarked Ommegang Brewmaster Phil Leinhart. “I’m excited to introduce it in time for the holidays, and look forward to enjoying it year-round.”
Ommegang Brut IPA is brewed with pilsner malt and flaked corn and hopped and dry-hopped with Mandarina Bavaria, Calypso, and Citra varietals, followed by a two-week bottle conditioning process to achieve exceptional levels of carbonation. It pours a light straw color with crystalline clarity. Aromas of dank, resinous pine, grapefruit, and pineapple precede a lively effervescence and a crisp, dry finish.
Shimmering CO2 means Ommegang Brut IPA will only be available in four-packs of 12-ounce bottles. With 6.3% ABV and 49 IBUs, it offers a welcome addition to every table, pairing best with sharp cheeses, hearty meats, and spiced desserts.
Ommegang Brut IPA will be available in December in the following states: AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KY, MA, MD, MI, MN, MO, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, VA, VT, WI, WV, and Washington, DC.
