We're pleased to share details of a new limited release, Barrelmaster Grand Cru, the latest addition to our Blenderie Ommegang lineup of extremely small-batch blended beers. Barrelmaster Grand Cru is an opulent amalgamation of five remarkable dark ales aged in five distinctly different barrels: Seduction aged in brandy barrels, Candi Stout aged in Islay scotch whisky barrels and bourbon barrels, Soothsayer aged in mescal barrels, and Hand of the Queen aged in bourbon barrels.

Aromatic notes of black fruit, bourbon, and brandy lead to flavors of coffee, caramel, and a wisp of smoke from the scotch and mescal barrels. The mouthfeel is smooth with a gentle warming sensation.  One sip is just what the barrelmaster ordered.

Barrelmaster Grand Cru follows Faith & Fortitude, a blend of aged sour ales and farmhouse saisons, Zen & Zymurgy, a blend of mixed culture farmhouse ales aged in wine barrels, and Super Kriek, a blend of Belgian kriek and American wild ale.
